A narrow road of tight hairpins along a dry hillside, low Mediterranean scrub, no vehicle in sight.

AREA

Mont Boron

On Mont Boron the constraint is neither the building nor the volume. It is the road. Tight hairpins, steep private lanes, retaining walls that make turning impossible. The whole job is planned around the size of the vehicle, and that is decided at the visit.

The buildings

Villas from the 1930s to the 1970s, terraced grounds, outbuildings, garages and cellars often as full as the house. Volumes are large and mixed: furniture, tools, building materials left in place.

The access problem

Hairpin roads, no skip on the highway, no way for a full-size lorry to turn. We work with a small vehicle and more trips, and the sorting is done on site to cut the volume that has to be carried. It adds about a day, written into the original quote and never added afterwards.

A job typical of this area

A villa on a hairpin road, cleared completely before sale. A small vehicle in rotation, sorting by material done in the garage to limit the number of runs, licensed disposal with the notes issued in the name of the joint heirs.

An illustrative case, reconstructed from real work. Nothing that could identify a person or an address is published.

How long it takes

Seven to twelve days for a villa with outbuildings. The shape of the road is surveyed at the visit: it decides the duration more than the floor area does.

Observed duration for this kind of property. It depends on the volume, the state of the place, and when the written instruction reaches us.

A completely emptied room in a period flat, a tall glazing-bar window, worn parquet and a broad shaft of light across the floor.

Tell us where the property is.

We know the local obstacle before we arrive: the lane no van can enter, the hill road, the residence where access depends on the building manager. You do not have to be in France for us to start.
