WHAT WE DO
After a leak or an infestation
After damage, two instincts are expensive: clearing too fast, and treating before recording. The first deprives you of the evidence your insurer needs; the second does not hold. So we do things in the opposite order to the felt urgency — except where there is immediate danger, in which case making the place safe comes first.
You receive : a photographic file you can send straight to the insurer
How it runs
- 01
Making it safe, where it is urgent
Water extraction, isolating and checking the electrics, protecting what can still be protected. This is the only phase where we act before recording, and it is limited to what stops things getting worse.
- 02
The file for the insurer
Dated photographs of the state as found, moisture readings, a list of affected belongings — before anything is removed. We remove nothing the insurer has not been able to see, unless they agree in writing. On this kind of claim, it is the precaution that pays best.
- 03
Drying and treatment
Controlled drying with readings, then fungicidal treatment once the figures stabilise. Where an infestation accompanies the damage, pest treatment is carried out by a firm licensed to use biocides; we coordinate their visit and work alongside them on disinfection and repair.
- 04
Putting the property back in order
Removal of what cannot be saved, after inventory, a full clean, a final check. The complete file goes to you, and directly to your insurer if you want it to.
What is included
- Water extraction, making the electrics safe, and controlled drying
- The dated photographic file, with readings, ready to send to the insurer
- Disinfection of surfaces and fungicidal treatment once readings stabilise
- Removal of what cannot be saved, after inventory
- Coordination with the pest control firm where one is needed
What is not
- Pest treatment itself, which requires a licence to use biocides
- Leak detection and plumbing work
- Negotiating with the insurer: we supply the evidence, we do not represent you
- Removing belongings before the insurer has been able to see them, unless they agree in writing
As with everything we do: nothing is removed without written instruction from someone entitled to give it, no contents are bought, and no valuations are given.

What moves the price
- How old the damage is, and whether it was ever reported
- The area affected and how many floors are involved
- Absorbent furnishings: mattresses, sofas, rugs, wall linings
- Whether an infestation came with it, and how soon the licensed firm can attend
- The timetable set by the loss adjuster’s visit
No prices are shown on this site, and that is not coyness: two jobs with the same name can differ tenfold depending on the floor, the access and the state of the property. The quote is prepared after a visit, itemised line by line, and it is fixed.
Questions specific to this work
Should we wait for the loss adjuster before doing anything?
For removals, yes, unless the insurer agrees in writing. For making the place safe and drying it out, no: most policies actually require you to limit further damage, and waiting a week with water in the partitions harms the claim rather than helping it. We record before we act, which protects both.
Who pays for the work?
That depends on your policy and on the nature of the damage, and we cannot answer for you — it would commit you on a point that is not ours to decide. What we can do, and always do, is supply a file precise enough for the question to be settled quickly.
Do you treat pests?
Not ourselves: using biocides requires a licence we do not hold, and we will not pretend otherwise. We work with firms that do, we coordinate their visit with ours, and we take on the disinfection and the repair once their treatment is done.
Tell us about the property.
A few lines are enough for us to say what is possible and how long it takes. Neither the visit nor the quote commits you to anything, and you do not need to be in France.
