AREA
Menton
Menton is where we most often work in Italian. The population is old, the border is a few kilometres away, and a good share of the heirs live in Liguria or Piedmont. Settling a French estate from Italy adds a layer of administrative vocabulary, and we take that on.
The buildings
Old buildings in the centre and the old town, residences from the 1960s and 70s higher up, villas with terraced gardens. Flats in the centre have often been lived in by the same person for a very long time.
The access problem
Stepped lanes in the old town, where carrying is unavoidable. Hairpin roads up to the heights, where a small vehicle is the only option. Parking in the centre is constrained and has to be requested ahead.
A job typical of this area
An estate opened in France with the heirs living in Italy and no immediate possibility of travelling. Everything handled in Italian, the written instruction and the photographic inventory issued in both languages, and direct coordination with the French notaire’s office.
An illustrative case, reconstructed from real work. Nothing that could identify a person or an address is published.
How long it takes
Four to eight days for a flat in the centre. What most often stretches the schedule is coordination between heirs on either side of the border — rarely the technical work.
Observed duration for this kind of property. It depends on the volume, the state of the place, and when the written instruction reaches us.

Tell us where the property is.
We know the local obstacle before we arrive: the lane no van can enter, the hill road, the residence where access depends on the building manager. You do not have to be in France for us to start.
